A website with
another world inside.
The starting point is an ordinary personal website: an introduction, a collection of work, and a few links. But one of those links opens onto a different kind of page. The website itself becomes the medium of a creative-writing project.
The question underneath
Do people exist first and then form relationships, or do relationships help constitute who they are? The project approaches this philosophical question through voices, unfinished messages, and the experience of choosing what to read next.
Why an old-fashioned website?
Hypertext lets a reader wander, return, miss something, and discover it later. The early web’s personal pages and unexpected links offer a natural home for a story about connection and communication.
This first version includes a new, playable fiction prototype. The Undelivered Archive offers three connected documents and a choice that changes the final passage. Look closely at the stars on the homepage.

Where am I from?
At Gyeongbokgung in Seoul, Guanxiang wore traditional Chinese dress and invited passersby to answer a question: “Where am I from?” Signs presented the question in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, while different parts of the body carried the labels Japan, Korea, and China.
Looking becomes an action
The performance brought assumptions about nationality into a visible encounter. Most guesses were “Korean,” raising questions about the influence of place, dress, and expectations on the way we read another person.
Questions the work opens
What makes an identity seem immediately recognizable? When do cultural signs become national boundaries? And what happens when a person refuses to fit the categories through which others are looking?

Learning through stories.
This work brings together English teaching for Chinese learners, reading and writing activities, and an interest in what makes a lesson feel useful, engaging, and possible to participate in.
From comprehension to expression
A short story can support more than vocabulary recall. Learners can notice a detail, make an inference, explain a character’s decision, and try an alternative ending. Discussion and writing turn the reading into something they can use.
A question for AI in education
How can feedback help a learner take the next step? Work on introductory speaking assessments and age-appropriate prompts sits alongside a broader interest in AI and language education.
